An open invitation to choirs
Voces en el Pirineo invites choirs from different parts of the world to take part in its first edition: a non-competitive international choral gathering designed to share music, territory and fellowship in the heart of the Pyrenees.
The festival is open to ensembles wishing to enjoy a close, carefully curated experience with its own identity, taking part in concerts held in different venues across the Benasque Valley and Ribagorza (Aragon, Spain), as well as in a final joint performance in Benasque.
Who can take part?
Voces en el Pirineo is open to different types of choral ensembles:
- Mixed choirs
- Female choirs
- Male choirs
- Youth choirs
- Choirs with sacred or secular repertoire
The festival is non-competitive in nature. Its main purpose is not competition, but encounter, listening, fellowship and musical exchange between choirs.
Performances during the festival
Each participating choir will give two performances in shared concerts as part of the festival programme, with a maximum duration of 3o minutes per performance.
In addition, all choirs will take part in the closing concert, with a planned performance of up to 10 minutes per choir and a final joint performance as a symbolic closing of the gathering.
The final artistic programme will be organised according to the number of participating choirs, with the aim of ensuring a balanced, carefully curated and well-coordinated experience for everyone.
Repertoire and instruments
The repertoire may be freely chosen, although each choir is encouraged to include a piece representative of its place of origin.
The organisation will provide a piano or keyboard. Any other instruments must be provided by each participating choir.
Registration
To take part in the first edition of Voces en el Pirineo, you simply need to complete the registration form.
Once the form has been received, the organisation will contact your choir to answer any questions and coordinate the necessary details of your participation.
